Ethereum Co-Founder Awaits Verkle Trees for Staking Benefits

Vitalik Buterin expressed his excitement over the integration of Verkle trees. Buterin noted that Verkle trees will save significant disk space used by nodes. A significant improvement in sync time will also be seen, Buterin noted. Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum (ETH), has expressed his anticipation for the arrival of “Verkle trees” on the blockchain network. The integration of the data structure would see a significant improvement in the disk space used by s taking nodes. In a post on social media platform X, Buterin said that he is “looking forward” to Verkle trees, which will reportedly bring multiple benefits to the Ethereum blockchain. The Ethereum founder said, I’m really looking forward to Verkle trees. They will enable stateless validator clients, which can allow s taking nodes to run with near-zero hard disk space and sync nearly instantly – far better solo s taking UX. Also good for user-facing light clients. As ...

Core Stake: All You Need to Know About Earning AVAX Staking Rewards

If you’re a dedicated Avalanche user, you’re likely already familiar with Core, the preeminent wallet for interacting with all things AVAX. In addition to providing a user-friendly web and mobile interface for interacting with the Avalanche ecosystem, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other EVM chains, it’s packing a host of useful features, particularly when it comes to staking AVAX itself. Virtually all modern blockchains rely on Proof of Stake consensus, and Avalanche is no exception. Validators who stake AVAX are authorized to publish blocks, confirm transactions, and earn rewards for their services. But Avalanche users who don’t operate a validator node are also entitled to participate in s taking through delegation – and this is where Core proves invaluable. Staking, Simplified There are many ways to participate in blockchain staking, with one of the simplest being to delegate your stake to a validator. This is an entity with the hardware, software, and 24/7 connectivi...

Lido Finance to stop Solana support while Cardano prices fall, new project unveils staking program

Liquid staking tokens to fuel the next DeFi boom

Image
Liquid staking tokens are poised to drive the next wave of DeFi adoption, offering users increased rewards and opportunities in the wake of Ethereum’s Shanghai upgrade. The decentralized finance (DeFi) space has been in correction mode, its current TVL of $50 billion representing less than a third of its peak in late 2021. The good news is that the market is preparing for another wave of DeFi adoption, primarily thanks to liquid staking tokens (LSTs), which have become the second-largest DeFi sector after decentralized exchanges (DEXs). LSTs revolve around the Ethereum ecosystem, enabling Ether (ETH) stakers to benefit from yield farming opportunities while their ETH tokens are locked to maintain the network that recently upgraded to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. Liquid staking protocols provide users with LSTs in exchange for their locked ETH based on a 1:1 ratio to let them explore DeFi use cases during the staking process. Some protocols call these substitute tokens “...
