Coinbase Receives Approval to Launch Crypto Services in the UK
In what is a monumental moment for the cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase has officially received regulatory approval to launch crypto services in the UK. Indeed, the platform announced it has been granted a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration in the United Kingdom. The move makes Coinbase a registered firm in the region, allowing it to offer both cryptocurrencies and cast to investors. Moreover, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has proven to be strict with its registration. To this point, only 145 of the applicants have succeeded, in which Coinbase is one of them.
