With fresh pardon, CZ owns Donald Trump

Changpeng Zhao (aka CZ), who was convicted for not abiding by anti-money laundering laws and violating the Bank Secrecy Act, has been granted a new legal clean slate, with President Donald Trump providing the founder and former Binance CEO a pardon. CZ was forced to resign from his executive position at the world’s biggest crypto exchange in 2023. Binance was also forced to pay the largest fine to the US government in history. The reason for the pardon wasn’t spelled out for the public. However, according to the Wall Street Journal, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump had “exercised his constitutional authority by issuing a pardon for Mr. Zhao, who was prosecuted by the Biden Administration in their war on cryptocurrency.” Changpeng Zhao says WSJ was paid to smear him Read more: Binance wants a Trump partnership and a pardon for CZ, report There are no laws here, only unenforceable rules What CZ’s pardon makes clear — as if it w...

A ‘grifter’ made $430K on SCI6900 after name-dropping CZ

An alleged scammer with a history of crypto rug pulls has just made $430,000 shilling the SCI6900 token with the help of a post on X from former Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao.  Crypto sleuth “Dethective” recorded the trader, known as @SmokezXBT, buying sums of the memecoin Shanghai Composite Index 6900 (SCI6900) before shilling the token with various other crypto influencers.  They then proceeded to dump their holdings for an hour before the price began to drop. However, they decided to buy some more of the token at 4:44am UTC time.  The timing of this purchase is remarkable, as just over one minute and 34 seconds later, Zhao responded to a post promoting the token, asking, “Is this real?” From there, the market cap of the token shot from $3 million to almost $29 million in 10 minutes . Its price increased by 4,557% over the past 24 hours. Read more: Traders blame CZ for ending BNB memecoin season ZachXBT with the ‘grifter’ receipts ...

CZ needs an extra day that Binance memecoin traders don’t have

Yesterday, billionaire Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) asked how to launch a memecoin based on his pet dog. Acting as if he truly didn’t know how memecoin launches worked, he claimed that a few hours of research on X would help catch him up on the trend. He promised to “mull it over for a day or so.” Obviously, impatient traders jumped into action, and the topic instantaneously trended on X. Some bought existing dog-themed coins on BNB Chain while more sophisticated internet sleuths scoured the web for old photos of CZ, friends, and coworkers in a search for his dog. Honest newbie question. How does this work? I share my dog's name and picture, and then people create memcoins? How do you know which one is "official"? or does that even matter? (I see many people asking for a name and a picture. ) https://t.co/ZcvEhzgwmM — CZ BNB (@cz_binance) February 12, 2025 Read more: Binance moved $8 billion off its proof-of-reserves BNB Chain tra...
