World Liberty Financial likely used AI to write incorrect AAVE governance post

Image
World Liberty Financial, the Donald Trump-endorsed, and Justin Sun-advised crypto project, appears to be using artificial intelligence (AI) to generate a discussion post on its governance forum.  The post in question is from November and is a discussion about the considerations of the initiative AAVE lending market that World Liberty intended to launch. The post also appears to make false claims. At one point it states that “Aave is not currently available on BNB Chain,” but this isn’t true. Aave launched on BNB Chain almost a year ago in February of 2024. AI models will often output “outdated” information because the majority of the text (tokens) the models were trained on will contain information that was true at the time it was written but isn’t anymore. Additionally, the post asserts that World Liberty Financial “will also be deploying a separate Aave instance on a Layer 2 network,” an idea that hasn’t been appro...

No, Enron isn’t coming back with a new crypto token

A new Delaware-based crypto project that parodies long-bankrupt energy company Enron is apparently “recruiting” for a nuclear systems engineer as it gears up to launch its first token. Houston-registered Enron Corporation famously went bankrupt in December 2001 after a number of its executives were found to be using fraudulent accounting practices to inflate the firm’s revenues. However, the ‘Enron’ that is apparently preparing to make waves in the world of crypto is a very different entity. For starters, at the time of its bankruptcy in 2001, Jeffrey Keith Skilling and Kenneth Lay were the company’s CEOs. Recent trademark documents, however, reveal that the new Enron Corporation is not only now registered in Delaware but the venture, which describes itself as a “parody” in its official terms of use, is helmed by a new CEO called Charles Gaydos. We're back. Can we talk? pic.twitter.com/9kt4g0Q84Z — Enron (@Enro...

Former US President Donald Trump’s newest crypto project, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), is eyeing a launch on the Aave Ethereum Mainnet. Indeed, the decentralized finance project debuted on September 18th but is now facing a new proposal that will launch it on Aave V3 if approved. The endeavor is yet another foray for Trump into the world of Web3 and cryptocurrencies. Throughout his bid for re-election in 2024, Trump has made crypto one of his main focuses. Subsequently, WLFI is set to be his most involved digital asset project to date, following his NFT trading card unveiling last year.
